Tim feels much better now so we can continue our regular meeting on Tuesday.
We didn't have meeting lastTuesday because Tim had his wisdom teeth removed and it was hurting so much. I'm really glad to know they also call it the wisdom teeth, exactly the same with that in China. I remember when I was about 34 or something, I had my wisdom teeth removed. It really hurts.
He didn't give me any feedback about the organization event questionnaire. That means he basically agreed. Now I can work on the finalizing of the translation and editing of the questionnaire.
When I talked about the department party, we touch a an old topic about his and my personality. Tim believes his is very introverted and he thinks I'm more extroverted than average Chinese but not so compared with typical Americans.
I asked Tim a question: Is the introversion some kind of requisit trait for a researcher? I noticed that those who published more are more introverted than those who published less. Tim agreed to me and said we may do a research project about that. This is doable. We'll talk about it later.
I believe this is a reasonable proposition. It can help to explain why the so called intellectuals are not so sociable, or may even be regarded as aloof (and proud) in the eye of the populace. This proposition could also be applied to the management of organizations, like univeristies or colleges.
