University of South Florida, a not very famous university even in the US, located in a beautiful coast city, Tampa. I've known the unviersity for a long time because of their very strong faculyt in I/O psychology.

I met with Dr. Paul Spector in 2006 at Atlanta on the AOM annual meeting. I feel like I should talk to him more in detail about research because I adopted the job satisfaction questionnaire he developed and validated it in Chinese settings.

There is another big guy, Dr. Walter Borman, who is one of the pioneers in the study of performance structure. I worked with one of my former master students in the year of 2000 and expended their model in Chinese organizations. I had connections with Wally this past spring and we talked about inviting him to visit Beijing. The plan ran aground because of the shortage of financial support for his first-class airfare request.  

I contacted Paul via email few weeks ago. Paul was kindly enough to invite me to visit him during the department Party time.  So I drove to Tampa on Friday, December 7th.

Nice building, nice people, wonderful facilities, and a better academic climate.
