More than 7 decades ago during WWII both my wife and I had lived in Luoyang

洛阳 : my wife for one year and I for two days. Thus it is with great pleasure and nostalgia to receive an invitation  to visit the city and the university. Our host, Professor Pu, dean of the school of EECS and communications,  together  with professors Fu and Wu received us with warmest hospitality and arranged a seminar where I gave my  lecture on "A PersonalHistory of System and Control 1959-2013  http://blog.sciencenet.cn/blog-1565-719930.html.

The hosts also arranged for us to visit famous scenic andarchealogical sites of this ancient two thousand year old capital of many Chinese dynasties including: emperor's six horse chariot burial site, 天子驾六, longmengrotto 龍門石庫,white horse temple 白馬寺 , the oldest Buddhist temple in China, and  the Shaolin temple of Kung-Fu fame 少林寺.
