The JFK School of Government at Harvard is well known internationally. Many countries sent their junior or mid-level officials to the school for further training. In this respect, China is no exception.  Every year many Chinese officials are continuously sent here for study despite the fact occasionally defections and request for  political asylum occur. Governments feel that the networking that go on here in the School are influential in global affairs way beyond the classroom learning. For the same reasons, the Harvard Business School provides an  environment  for business and organization leaders to mingle and interact without fear of Antitrust violations with  attending short refresher courses.
