I have earlier written that while I consider my self technologically up to date during the 20th century, I am very much behind times on the use of latest technolgy in this new century. The tools I use are Excel spread sheet, Word, and e-mail Outlook and Windows 10 which satisfy my daily need. Recently my youngest child , a daughter, who heads up a medical service organization in Washington Dc and Los Angles area posted an inquiry on her facebook ask for information on office software which she uses. Below is her post:
. . . . . I need something that can track deadlines and tasks across a dispersed team and give me a snapshot of what is completed or not based on team members input on their progress, and is easy to learn because we already have to deal with multiple platforms (Outlook, Teams, Box, ERP, etc) and I engage with people who don’t know how to use the scheduling assistant in Outlook.Trello board, Excel based work plan, project cycle meeting Excel dashboard) but not optimal, and I’ve got a $50 million 4 year implementation project across four countries with four global and six local partners starting soon and I think my current methods are not going to be sufficient to keep track of everything.. . . . .
Frankly, after I read her post on facebook, I had to tell her that I don't know what she is talking about. Generation gaps!
