Now we have moved and lived in this retirement community for 10 days we can tell you about the services they provide for senior living:

1. You need to be at least 50 years old to live here

2. You need to pass a physical and mental test to qualify. However, once you pass and moved in, the management will see you through all three stages of retirement life: independent living, assisted living, and nursing home living until finally you pass. Your children are relieved of all caring responsibilities.

3.  For one inclusive monthly fee you have your living space cleaned, your bed sheets changed and laundried once a week, one restaurabnt styled meal (lunch or dinner or take out) served per day, and all utilities heating and air conditioning.

4. There are motion sensors in your apartment. Unless they know you are not at home, they will be notified and check on you if no movements are sensed in the morning. Bath rooms are equipped with emergency cords.

5. Hospital, assissted living, and nursing care all are under one roof. Partners at different life stages can visit each other without going outdoor or driving,.

6. There are many common lounges for reading, partying, or card playing. Sitting sofa or chairs are everywhere in pathways connecting different parts of the complex.

7. Entertainment theaters are also on site for lectures and performances regularly scheduled. Bus transporation are provided in case residents have to attend meetings/performances offsite

8. After a snowstorm, the management will clean and dig out our car besides plowing the roads.

9. hand rails.are provided in multiple places in the bathroom, walkways, and stairs

10. As a testament of the food provided, we have tasted exquisitely cooked western meals for ten days and not for a moment thought about Chinese cuscine even though we are confirmed Chinese food eater.

So far we are very satisfied with our choice and wisdh we had moved in a couple of years earlier.

Note added 3/25/2022. I might add that our home was last renovated in 1992. In 30 years, appliance technology has advanced considerably. We had to learn to operate various household appliances with new features in our new apartment. Progress stops for no one. We feel like Rip Van Winkle at times.
