I write this article only because I know the 2/5/2017 Super Bowl of  American Football World Championship game was televised live in China  (which means there are American football fans in China) and also for  my North  American and Worldwide ScienceNet readers.

·   It was the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history - overcoming a 25  points (three touch downs plus 4 more points) deficit in 8 minutes of offensive playing time (the nearest competitor only overcame 10 points).

·  At half time, the Patriots was behind 21-0. More than half way  into the third quarter things got even worse, they were 25 points (28-3) behind. Only the masochist and the loyalist in me  kept me  watching with agony. But was I amply rewarded!

• The first overtime SuperBowl.

·   The oldest and greatest quarterback in American football history, Tom Brady with unprecedented five Super Bowl wins and 4 most  valuable player awards for this Bowl Game.

·   The greatest head coach in American football history, Bill Belichick with 5 Super Bowl wins

·   The most exciting American football game ever played. A game for the AGES! - Banner first page headline from Boston Globe (newspaper)

·  All four major network TV stations in Boston devoted their 11 pm newscast to the win - a usual half hour show ran for 2 hours plus with no world, national or local news coverage totally devoted to the game coverage and post game interviews

·  The most emotional roller-coaster ride in sports coverage

·   "The sweetest . . ." - Robert Kraft, Owner of Patriots

·   "Do your job" - Patriots Team Motto

·   "Never give up" - Well known American idiom

• "After this and 1986 we are even with God" -Comment from my 55 year old son that only diehard Boston sport fans understand

·   Every play of the game is TEAM work - unique feature of the American Football game

• Its not just a game of brawns but of brains and startegies
  

I am running out of superlatives to describe this TV evening.  Slept only two hours last night because of the excitement.
