《回归感觉》简介

武夷山

 

     Coming to Our Senses,权且译为《回归感觉》,是认知科学家、美国加利福尼亚大学旧金山分校心理学系访问学者Viki McCabe的著作,牛津大学出版社20143月出版。她认为,关于知觉、认知与信息的现有理论无法解释我们认识世界的过程。她利用科学的研究和真实的故事表明,我们面临的生态灾难、政治瘫痪和经济失败都源自人的一种倾向:看重认知性过程与产品,轻视我们利用自己的感知系统所获得的信息。她还认为,复杂的世界是无法用理论和言词来描述的。每一种系统都以分形般的几何构形揭示自身,这些构型是从催生了系统并决定着系统功能的结构化组织中涌现出来的,并成为系统的映射。她的关键想法是:形式不仅服从于功能,而且形式是作为信息而倍增的。如果我们弃置那些理论,而专注于世界所呈现的信息,我们的感知就会阻止敌意性的心智俘获,与现实重新联系起来,使我们重新回归自己的感觉。
