Tears for Xinyi

Dear Friends and Family of Xinyi,

I will never forget Xinyi.�
He was an inspiration to me in the amount of energy and enthusiasm he brought to Go.�
His voice was often the single one that I heard when calling for help to organise activities.�
He would give up his time freely to help setting up tournaments and run clubs.

I liked his style of Go playing - he wasn't afraid to make unusual moves, he liked playing wherever he wanted to play on the board, without much regard for convention.�
I remember him saying that he just played to make fights. This made for very interesting games.�
I think we played four or five times and I lost each time.�
He'd always manage to pull off some collossal rip-off which doomed my stones!�
I remember him once saying "Oh just the dame now" and then capturing a group of mine which I had forgotten to protect!�
I don't think that was deliberate, but he had a good sense of humour.�

I will miss Xinyi a lot.� He was a good friend and a good Go player.
