超实用模板 | SCI投稿时Cover Letter的撰写

许多期刊都要求作者附上Cover Letter,即使有时期刊规定Cover Letter是可选的，稿件提交时也最好包含一个Cover Letter。Cover Letter是写给该期刊的总编辑的，须简要地介绍稿件的研究内容并解释为何与该期刊的读者群相关。有时还可能需要包括期刊要求的声明和披露，以及潜在审稿人的姓名和联系信息。其表达风格和语气应当专业而正式，且长度不要超过一页。

本文结尾处我们提供一份模板来帮助您高效完成撰写Cover Letter的任务。如果目标期刊的作者说明中包含Cover Letter的规格，请根据期刊的要求进行适当调整。

Cover Letter通常应包括什么？

1.收信人也就是期刊编辑的名字

2.稿件标题

3.简要说明研究的背景、目标和发现

4.简要解释稿件为何与期刊读者相关

5.对于多作者的论文，声明所有作者均已认可该手稿并同意将其提交至该期刊

6.声明文中没有任何材料已经出版，并且目前没有提交至其它地方请求出版

Cover Letter中可以包含的内容，以及还有哪些内容可能会被期刊要求呢？

1.潜在审稿人名单（姓名和联系方式）

2.有助于增强期刊编辑对论文的兴趣的信息，例如数据的新颖性和时事性

3.声明不存在利益冲突，或者声明存在的各种利益冲突或可能相关的许可信息

4.有关使用预印本服务器的信息和预印本链接，或者论文中的工作是否曾在某些会议文集中进行报道

Cover Letter中不应包含哪些内容？

1.作者的简历和出版史（除非期刊要求）

2.过多结果和方法部分中的细节介绍（编辑会通过阅读文章来找到这些信息）

3.使用非正式语言、感叹号或过于正式和谄媚的语言
