March 17-18
These two days my life followed this pattern: waking up late (around 10 am), having breakfast (oat meal or soybean +rice milk), started work (designing experiment) until about 2 pm, going out to the lawn to run for exercise for about 20 minutes, cooking and having lunch, taking a long afternoon break (about 2h), and then starting work again until 10 pm. Then I had dinner, worked on until 12 pm, when I prepared for sleep...
There was one interesting (or embarrassing?) thing the other day. In the morning Wayne (the other tenant in Fred’s house) knocked on my door and asked if I saw a cabbage. I followed him into the kitchen and open the refrigerator door to check. After some search I did find a cabbage at the the shelf for me. “Is this your cabbage?” I asked. “Yes.” said he. “I am so terribly sorry. I was just confused...I was thinking that my cabbage fell down into your basket....” I said. “it is ok,”said Wayne. As I left the room, I said again that I was sorry. I just wanted him to realize that I never intended to steal anything from him. After all, what is the point of stealing a cabbage?
