This morning I decided to walk to the busstop near the Arlington Farm Apartment. I knew it is a 3-mile distance that will take me about an hour to arrive at, but I just wanted to have this adventure and to explore this area. So after breakfast, with the backpack holding the computer and some necessary stuff, I, with liveliness, started the journey.

   It took me about 15 minutes to reach the south end of 97 County Road, where I changed the direction and started walking on the bike path parallel to Russel Boulevard. Walking on the bike path, which is clean and straight, feeling the gentle caressing of spring breeze, and smelling the fragrance from the grass, leaves and flowers, I was so refreshed. I couldn't help taking some pictures of this beautilful scenery that I had never seen back in China...

  Anyway I reached the bus stop after walking for about 70 minutes. As I was wondering how long I had to wait until the arrival of the bus, it just arrived! So about 15minutes later I was at the Memorial Union Terminal and walked several minutes to the lab. I met Andy near the Young Hall and said hello. He was holding the printed papers of mine to read!

   Now it was about 16:00. Just as I was trying to go out to meet Andy in his office ar 267C in Young Hall, he came into the lab. So we talked about the experiment for about an hour until he had to get to pick up his daughter. I had to say that he was indeed nice and approachable despite his academic prestige...and I feel honored to be in this lab working with him.
