Biography

Shuo Wang (Fellow, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, USA, in 2005.,He is currently a Full Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, USA. He has authored or coauthored more than 200 IEEE journal and conference papers and holds around 30 pending/issued U.S./international patents.,Dr. Wang was the recipient of the Best Transaction Paper Award from the IEEE Power Electronics Society in 2006 and two William M. Portnoy Awards for the papers published in the IEEE Industry Applications Society in 2004 and 2012, respectively. He was the recipient of Distinguished Paper Award from 2022 IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy. In 2012, he was also the recipient of the prestigious National Science Foundation CAREER Award. He is currently an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications and IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility. He is the Chair of Power Electronics EMI/EMC Special Committee of IEEE EMC Society and an Instructor of IEEE Clayton Paul Global University. Biography

Fred Lee (Life Fellow, IEEE) received the B.S. degree from China Taiwan Cheng Kung University, Tainan City, China Taiwan, in 1968, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Duke University, Durham, NC, USA, in 1972 and 1974, respectively, all in electrical engineering.,He is a University Distinguished Professor Emeritus with Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), Blacksburg, VA, USA, and the Founder and Director Emeritus of the Center for Power Electronics Systems, an engineering research center consisting of 80 corporations. The mission of the center is “to provide leadership through global collaboration to create electric power processing systems of the highest value to society.” His research interests include high-frequency power conversion, magnetics and EMI, distributed power systems, renewable energy, power quality, high-density electronics packaging and integration, and modeling and control. He holds 107 U.S. patents and has authored or coauthored more than 338 journal articles and more than 794 refereed technical papers. During his tenure with Virginia Tech, he has supervised to completion 90 Ph.D. and 94 Master's students.,Dr. Lee served as the President of the IEEE Power Electronics Society (1992–1994) and is a recipient of the William E. Newell Power Electronics Award in 1989; Fellow of IEEE in 1990; PCIM Award for Leadership in Power Electronics Education presented at HFPC in 1990; the Arthur E. Fury Award for Leadership and Innovation in 1998; the Honorary Sun Yuen Chuan Chair Professor with China Taiwan Tsing Hua University in Taiwan in 2001; the Ernst-Blickle Award sponsored by SEW-EURODRIVE Foundation in 2005; the Distinguished Alumni Award from China Taiwan Cheng Kung University in 2006; the Honorary Li Kwoh-Ting Chair Professor withTaiwan Cheng Kung University in 2011; inaugural member of the Virginia Tech Entrepreneur Hall of Fame in 2012; Honorary Chair Professor with China Taiwan Chiao Tung University in Taiwan in 2014; Honorary Chair Professor with Tsinghua University in China in 2017; and Honorary Professor with the Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China in 2018. He is a member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, an Academician of the Academia Sinica in China Taiwan, and a foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in the People's Republic of China. Jacobus Daniel van Wyk (M'81–SM'84–F'90–LF'10) received the M.Sc.Eng. degree from the University of Pretoria, Pretoria, South Africa, in 1966, the Dr.Sc.Tech. degree (cum laude) from the Technical University of Eindhoven, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, in 1969, the D.Sc. (Eng.) (honoriscausa) from the University of Natal, Natal, South Africa, in 1996, the D.Eng. (honoriscausa) from the University of Pretoria in 2008, and the D.Ing. (honoriscausa) from the University of Johannesburg, Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2013.,He has worked with the S.A. Iron and Steel Corporation, the University of Pretoria, and the technical and scientific staff of the University in Eindhoven, between 1961 and 1971. From 1971 to 1995, he was a chaired Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Rand Afrikaans University, Johannesburg, holding Chairs in Electronics and in Power Electronics till 1992. He founded the Industrial Electronics Technology Research Group in the Faculty of Engineering in 1978 and directed this until 1999. From 1995 to 2004, he held a special University Research Chair in Industrial Electronics at the Rand Afrikaans University. He joined the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, VA, USA, in 1999, where he was the J. Byron Maupin Professor of Engineering from 2000 until his retirement in 2005. At Virginia Tech he was with the National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center for Power Electronics Systems, leading the research on High Density Power Electronics Integration Technology until July 2006. From 2006 to 2008, he was a core faculty member and Research Professor in the Center and is a Visiting Professor (Research) at the University of Johannesburg since 2008.,Dr. van Wyk is a Fellow of the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers. He has been author and coauthor of more than 600 publications, receiving 24 publication awards for this work, including 15 IEEE prize paper awards. He was the recipient of the prestigious IEEE William E. Newell Power Electronics Award in 1995, an IEEE Third Millennium Medal in 2000, the IEEE Power Electronics Society Distinguished Service Award in 2006, and the IEEE Industry Applications Society Outstanding Achievement Award in 2006.    之后,在本期的教学研究类学术报告环节,杨正瓴老师结合《电磁场》《电工学》《电子学》的相关知识,汇报了自己关于“互容”的研究和思考,并讨论了“半电路、半电磁场”集成电路芯片的可能性。随着集成度的提高,芯片导体之间的空间距离会越来越近。这样,导体之间的分布参数(电磁场作用的一种表现)会越来越明显。在“半电路、半电磁场”集成电路芯片里,电磁信号的一部分通过导体传递,另一部分直接以电磁场的方式通过空间(绝缘体)直接传递。这可能是设计未来高集成度芯片的新途径之一。
