I have been working on sparse representation and optimization for image processing and brain image (signal) analysis, machine learning, computer vision, and data mining (and assimilation).  Notice that we not only working on high dimensional linear regression models, but also relatively high dimensional nonlinear and non-convex complicated rediction models, which are often  the cruel reality. We also consider the data fusion or information fusion.

Currently,  we are going to focus on Machine Brains, which are man-made virtual machines that are just as intelligent, creative, and self-aware as humans, hopefully.
