Mining biological, biomedical, and health data is an emerging research area at the intersection between biology and data mining. As next generation sequencing data, electronic medical record, and other large-scale biological data has been accumulated exponentially in recent years, theinformatics field is undergoing an unprecedented era with countless novel breakthroughs aiming to deal with Big Data mining problems. Translational research that bridges the latest multimodal measurement technologies with large amounts of electronic healthcare data is in great needs. This workshop aims to provide a forum for data miners, informaticians and clinical researchers to share novel findings on their latest investigations inapplying informatics techniques to biomedical and healthcare data.

This workshop will aim to provide research methodologies and tools on managing, analyzing, visualizing, and extracting information from large, diverse, complex, longitudinal, and/or distributed biological, biomedical and healthydata sets. It will provide references to researchers/practitioners/students who participate the main conference or other workshops in bioinformatics, datamining, and healthcare fields.
