Mining biological, biomedical, and health data is an emerging research area at the intersection between biology and data mining. As next generation sequencing data, electronic medical record, and other large-scale biological data has been accumulated exponentially in recent years, theinformatics field is undergoing an unprecedented era with countless novel breakthroughs aiming to deal with Big Data mining problems. Translational research that bridges the latest multimodal measurement technologies with large amounts of electronic healthcare data is in great needs. This workshop aims to provide a forum for data miners, informaticians and clinical researchers to share novel findings on their latest investigations inapplying informatics techniques to biomedical and healthcare data.
This workshop will aim to provide research methodologies and tools on managing, analyzing, visualizing, and extracting information from large, diverse, complex, longitudinal, and/or distributed biological, biomedical and healthydata sets. It will provide references to researchers/practitioners/students who participate the main conference or other workshops in bioinformatics, datamining, and healthcare fields.

Submission Requirements
All submissions will be rigorously peer reviewed and evaluated on the quality, originality, soundness, and significance of their contributions.
Simultaneous submission of papers to any other conference with published proceedings or submitting previously published papers is not allowed.
The papers should be written in English. Full papers are limited to 10 pages with double columns, including title, abstract, figures, tables, text and bibliography.
While submitting your manuscripts, please make sure it has included the following information:
Title of the paper
Abstract of the paper (within 400 words)
Name(s) and affiliation(s) of the authors
Postal address and e-mail address of the authors
Full manuscript for paper submission (not required for poster and highlight track)
Only on-line submissions (in ps or pdf formats) are acceptable.
At least one author is required to register and present the paper in the conference. Please note that only one paper can be published in proceedings for one registration.
After the full length proceeding papers are accepted, we will work with the BioData Mining editors and reviewers to invite selected papers for extension to be included in a special issue in BioData Mining with impact factor 1.76 and PubMed index (http://www.biodatamining.org/).
