UCD Students’ Union
Dear Postgraduates,
Many of you will be finishing your dissertations this week. Some of you may have turned it in already, some of you may still be editing, and some may be writing until the very last minute; whatever the case may be remember that all your hard work and dedication will soon be paid off. I know that this has been a long and tireless journey and you should be very proud of everything that you have accomplished this year. It takes a lot of will-power to spend your days locked away in library especially when the weather has been warm and sunny, but once your dissertation is handed in you will not have to feel guilty about soaking up the sun. I encourage all of you to treat yourselves to the much deserved rest and relaxation.
Congratulations on coming to the end of your time here at UCD. You all have bright futures ahead of you and soon you will be alumni to the largest university in Ireland which means your network of opportunities will grow. I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavours and hope that you take all that you have learned here and carry that with you wherever you go.
To the postgraduates staying on to continue their degree please remember your time to celebrate will come, until then the Students’ Union is here for you. There are multiple services that you can avail of whether it be with myself with any academic queries that may come up or with Maeve DeSay our Welfare & Equality officer with queries of well-being, campaigns, or other supports. I hope that you will all engage in the many wonderful events we have planned for this year.
