在网上看到一位肿瘤专家强调：“肿瘤是一种组织”。

以前看到文献中提及“肿瘤组织（tumor tissue）”，个人一直为理解为“含有肿瘤细胞的病理组织”，这里和大家讨论一下癌瘤到底是不是一种组织：

定义：组织（tissue）从概念上十分宽泛，手头书籍没有找到严格定义，根据一些资料整理，组织大概意思是由一些类似的细胞和细胞间质聚集形成的功能性结构。癌瘤是机体在各种致癌因素作用下，局部组织的某一个细胞在基因水平上失去对其生长的正常调控，导致其克隆性异常增生而形成的新生物。

起源：正常动物组织是在胚胎期有原始的内、中、外三个胚胎层分化而来的。癌瘤起源于某单一细胞克隆；

结构：正常组织主要分为分为上皮组织、结缔组织、肌组织和神经组织四大类，根据不同的功能形成复杂有序的结构。癌瘤由异质性细胞构成的侵入性构造；

功能：正常组织受激素、神经等信号系统统一调度执行系统所需功能；癌肿丧失对组织信号的正常响应，具有膨胀性、浸润性和扩散性等并造成系统功能障碍；

问题：如果癌瘤能够被称定义为一种组织的话，是不是真菌、寄生虫入侵形成的病理性组织是否也可以被定义为“真菌组织”，“寄生虫组织”呢？

　　肿瘤研究，面临的紧迫任务是观念的创新问题。

　　（一）首先，肿瘤是一种组织，不是一堆癌细胞，癌细胞的研究不等同于癌的研究。近几年来，虽然已经有肿瘤微环境的概念，但是这方面的研究仍然存在严重不足。

　　（二）肿瘤细胞是不均一的群体，其恶性程度，包括增殖能力、致瘤性、耐药性均不相同。虽然“癌干细胞”学说还存在争论，但肿瘤细胞群体中肯定存在一种最为恶性的细胞亚群。

　　（三）癌细胞的播散（Dissemination）和转移是两个不同的事件，癌细胞播散可能在相当多的情况下属早期事件，而播散的癌细胞在其它器官或组织中得于生存而且生长成为癌组织即转移灶，这在多数情况下属后期事件，其机理仍不清楚。将癌的播散与转移混为一谈是一种误导。

　　（四）癌是一种全身性疾病，是一种以局部组织/细胞异常生长为特征的系统性疾病。

【Tissue definition】
Tissue is a cellular organizational level intermediate between cells and a complete organism. A tissue is an ensemble of cells, not necessarily identical, but from the same origin, that together carry out a specific function. These are called tissues because of their identical functioning. Within each category there is usually more than one cell type — usually the main cells with a special function, plus connective tissue cells.
