百慕大Crystal Cave游黄安年文 黄安年的博客/2015年9月10日下午美东时间;傍晚北京时间发布 在8月26 日8：30-28日15：00百慕大岛上游中, Crystal Cave留给我印象很深，Crystal Cave和Fantasy Cave是百慕大岛众溶洞中最著名的两个，距离很近,限于时间我们只能在人员带领下顺序参观Crystal Cave。这个溶洞虽然较我们在国内所见多出溶洞要小,但是这座100年前被偶然发现的溶洞直到本世纪初才开放旅游，并吸引了几乎所有来百慕大旅游的游客，清澈的海水，引发奇妙幻想的钟乳石造型，活动的浮桥，若明若暗的灯光给人们以十分丰富的相象空间。下面的照片27张是非日参观时随机拍摄的。1，

Crystal Cave is the most famous of Bermuda's many subterranean caverns. It islocated in Hamilton Parish,close to Castle Harbour.The cave is approximately 500 mlong, and 62 m deep.[1]Lower 19 - 20 m arebelow water level. The cave formed at lower sea level and, as the sea level rose, many speleothems, which formed in air, now are underwater level.
A tourist attraction since 1907, it was discovered in1905 by Carl Gibbons and Edgar Hollis, two 12-year-old boys searching for alost cricket ball.[2][3]Soon after, the Wilkinson family (the owners of the property since 1884)learned of the discovery, Mr. Percy Wilkinson lowered his 14-year-old sonBernard into it with a bicycle lamp on 140 feet of strong rope tied to a treeto explore the cave.
The area surrounding Harrington Sound (which lies to the southof Crystal Cave)is of limestone formation and noted for many subterranean waterways, throughwhich the waters of the sound empty into the Atlantic.Crystal Cave is one of these, and - as its namesuggests - is one of the most spectacularly beautiful, with many stalactites,stalagmites,and deep crystal-clear pools. However, some crystal formations have beendamaged by earthquakes in the far past.
An excursion to CrystalCave also includes the neighbouring Fantasy Cave with Fantasy being deeper (88 stepsdown). Fantasy Cave was reopened in the summer of 2001with all the pathways rebuilt and re-illuminated by artificial lighting. It wasdiscovered and opened about the same time as Crystal Cave,but was closed by the owners in the 1940s.[4]
The two caves located on 8 Crystal Caves Rd. at Wilkinson Ave. are accessible by busrunning between Hamilton and St. George's Parishes, taxi and other privateforms of transportation (including motorbike and bicycle). Outside the twocaves is a sub-tropical garden lined with palm trees where one will find manyspecies of trees and flowers.
The caves are owned by the localWilkinson Trust, and are open to the public.

有人说不少百慕大本地人认为岛上最好的景点并不是著名的粉红色沙滩，而是两处溶洞。一个是Fantasy Cave。两处溶洞基本位于同一位置，所以景点的名字也以其中较为知名的CrystalCaves我用了将近Crystal Cave属于地下溶洞，它长约62米，其中底部1907年，而它的发现则源自2名Crystal Cave很近的另一处溶洞40年被洞穴所有者所关闭，直到Crystal Cave的名声要远远大于Crystal Cave的名字一样，它内部水晶般清澈的地下暗河的确非常吸引人，但2个溶洞都看一下。毕竟票价并不比只看一个要贵多少。浏览完两处溶洞，时间已经是下午30（两处溶洞的参观时间各需要大约<span style="color: maroon;font-family: "&font-size: 21px">30分钟，且必须在工作人员的陪同下才能进入）。
