什么是剽窃?(What is plagiarism?)

1 Plagiarism, as defined in the 1995 Random House Compact Unabridged Dictionary, is the "use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work."

剽窃是使用或相近的模仿其他作者的语言和思想并把其用作自己的原创作品。

2 Plagiarism in simple words is stealing another person's language and thoughts, and passing it off as one's own original work.

剽窃,简言之,窃取他人的语言和思想,并冒充作为自己的原创作品。

3 The word plagiarism has been derived from the Latin word "plagiarius", which means a kidnapper. Plagiarism literally means stealing or representing the words or concepts, of someone else as your own, without taking the necessary permissions.

剽窃词语源于拉丁文,意为诱拐者。剽窃字面意思是盗窃或呈现他人的词语或概念,作为自己的,而没有得到必要的许可。

4 Plagiarism is defined as taking in part or in whole someone else's words, writing, research, ideas, artwork, music or other creative efforts and passing it off as one's own without giving due credit to the originator. This is just one definition for plagiarism, but the essence is this – it is copying, cheating or, more harshly, intellectual theft.

剽窃被定义为部分或全部“借用”他人的语言、写作、研究、思想、插图、音乐或其他创造性成果,冒充为自己的而没有正确的致谢或引用初创者。这只是剽窃的概念之一,剽窃的实质就是复制、欺骗、或更严重的知识盗窃。

5 Plagiarism is the technical name for using someone else’s words without giving adequate credit.

剽窃是一个专门的术语,指使用他人的话语而不给予恰当的致谢。

6 Plagiarism is using others’ ideas and words without clearly acknowledging the source of that information.

剽窃是使用他人的思想和语言而没有清楚的致谢信息来源。

7 To plagiarize means to take the writings of another person and to use them as your own.

剽窃就是攫取他人的作品并当成自己的使用。

8 Plagiarism is when you use someone else's words or ideas and pass them off as your own.

剽窃是当你使用他人的语言和思想的时候,假冒为你自己的。

9 Plagiarism is the way of expressing someone else's work as your own.

剽窃是把他人作品表述为自己成果的方式。

10 Plagiarism is the act of representing another person's words or ideas as your own.

剽窃是把他人语言或思想表述为自己的一种行为。

11 Plagiarism is defined as "Passing off someone else's work as your own".

剽窃被定义为“假冒他人作品用作自己的”

12 Plagiarism Steals Ideas

剽窃即窃取他人思想。

13 Plagiarism is a form of cheating because it's stealing another person's ideas.

剽窃是一种欺骗行为,因为它是在盗窃他人的思想。

14 The American Political Science Association (APSA) has published a code of ethics which describes plagiarism as "deliberate appropriation of the works of others represented as one's own."
