如果机会来了,能否属于你呢?澳大利亚科学理事会ARC有一个Future Fellow的项目就是针对年轻人的。如果你博士毕业5-8年,发表若干篇不错的论文,那么我们就可以谈谈这个机会。

Title: Future Fellows at UTS:C3

Summary:

Do you want to make an impact in climate change research?   Is it time for you to take the next step in your career?

UTS’s fast growing Plant Functional Biology and Climate Change Cluster (C3) is inviting high-calibre mid-career researchers to submit an EOI to apply with UTS through the prestigious ARC Future Fellowship scheme.

C3 is a dynamic, cross disciplinary research institute, and a key University research strength that continues to build impact in four focused areas of research: aquatic processes, terrestrial ecohydrology, biodiversity and ecological modelling /remote sensing.

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with recognised expertise in the following research areas:

·         Computational biology in all areas of research (see www.c3.uts.edu.au)

·         Marine microbial ecology to link microbial communities with chemical fluxes involved in climate change (Prof Peter Ralph, Peter.Ralph@uts.edu.au)

·         Modelling to improve modelling precision of tree-atmosphere exchange by integrating ecohydrological understanding, and to provide expertise in building platforms for spatial analyses (Prof Qiang Yu, qiang.yu@uts.edu.au)

·         Plant ecophysiology and ecohydrology (Prof Derek Eamus, Derek.eamus@uts.edu.au)

·         Coastal oceanography to understand biogeochemical cycles in coastal systems using remote sensing (Prof Peter Ralph, Peter.Ralph@uts.edu.au)

·         Biodiversity and Global Change to investigate the responses of native species assemblages in terrestrial ecosystems to invasive species, climate change and fire (Dr Brad Murray, brad.murray@uts.edu.au)

·         Remote Sensing to investigate spatial and temporal ecosystem functioning, phenology, climate interactions, and landscape disturbance impacts (Prof Alfredo Huete, alfredo.huete@uts.edu.au)

At C3 we can provide the support you need to progress your career, and you will benefit from:

·         integration and collaboration with a group of excellent researchers (currently 50 research fellows, professors, post graduates and professional staff)

·         state-of-the-art research facilities including the DeltaVision OMX 3D-SIM ™, a structured illumination microscope for super-resolution imaging- the only one in the southern hemisphere

·         a proven commitment to supporting C3’s growth

·         the expansion of facilities through the development of the new Thomas Street building

·         a great location in the heart of Sydney

C3 will offer applicants awarded a Future Fellow under this scheme an appointment with a highly attractive salary package.

To apply:

********* HR please insert research jobs application  blurb

Please click on the Apply Now button below.  When prompted please attach a full CV, including a publication list and a brief statement of your research interests of no more than two A4 pages.

Please note, the scheme is restricted to researchers with 5-15 years experience after graduating with a PhD and we will be looking for researchers who can demonstrate they have a substantial publication record and evidence of grant success.

EOI submissions close 12pm, 16th October 2011.
