滤波与控制是诸多科学与工程问题的核心。近20年来,分布式滤波与控制研究已迅速扩展至大规模复杂网络与系统领域。分布式网络系统一般由大量具有有限感知力、计算力和通信力的动态节点构成,与集中式网络相比,因其低功耗、易安装、高性能、高可靠性等优点而得到广泛关注,各种分布式滤波与控制系统、技术与算法也应运而生,例如,节点注册与控制、网络同步与一致性、多源数据聚类/解耦/融合、网络拓扑设计与分析等。此外,从滤波与控制视角理解分布式系统运行和演变也有着重要价值,是解决很多问题的突破口,例如,通过有限数量传感器获得最佳视场覆盖、处理动态节点之间的交互和未知关联、权衡性能和资源限制、实现干扰环境下的自动化等。这些问题亟需解决,但由于多学科内在复杂性而面临诸多挑战,虽然学界不断提出并完善各种理论、技术和算法,但仍需深入研究。

为此,中国工程院院刊《信息与电子工程前沿(英文)》(FITEE)邀请香港城市大学陈关荣教授担任客座主编,筹备“分布式滤波和复杂网络系统控制”专刊。本期专刊旨在征基于复杂网络与系统的分布式滤波与控制方向的高质量论文,包括原创研究、综述、短评等类型。


征稿内容包括(但不限于)以下主题:

  • 分布式卡尔曼滤波、分布式粒子滤波、多传感器多尺度滤波

  • 分布式随机有限集方法(如分布式概率假设密度滤波)

  • 分布式多目标检测、跟踪和分类

  • 无线网络传感器注册、同步、控制和管理

  • 平均一致性算法和应用

  • 信息传递、置信度传播和因子图

  • 多智能体协同滤波与控制

  • 分布式贝叶斯网络

  • 分布式编队和围堵控制

  • 网络干扰抑制与故障诊断

Distributed filtering and control of complex networks and systems

Call for papers
(Submission by Apr. 30, 2020)

Filtering and control (FAC) lies at the center of a variety of scientific and engineering problems. In the last two decades, research on "distributed filtering and control" has burgeoned into large-scale complex networks and systems. A distributed networked system is typically composed of a number of cost-effective dynamical nodes (agents) with limited sensing, computing, and communication capabilities. It is gaining considerable popularity due to its low power consumption and simple installation, and to its good performance and strong reliability, as compared with the centralized setting. As a result, various distributed network-induced FAC systems, techniques, and algorithms have emerged, including node registration and control, network consensus and synchronization, multi-source data clustering/decoupling/fusion, network topological design and analysis, and the like. In addition, understanding how networks and systems behave and evolve from the FAC perspectives is important and insightful. This is often critical in regard of many important problems, such as managing a limited number of sensors for the best field-of-view coverage, tackling the intrinsic interactions and unknown correlation among dynamical nodes, trade-off between performance and constraints, achieving automation in noisy environments, to name just a few. These problems are imperative but also challenging for their multidisciplinary nature and inherent complexity, for which various theories, techniques, and algorithms are continuously being proposed and developed, and yet more research efforts and endeavors are needed.

This special issue aims at collecting high-quality papers in the research field of distributed filtering and control of complex networks and systems. Original research papers, survey/review/tutorial-type papers, and scientific commentary letters on the following and relevant topics are welcome.


Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

  • Distributed Kalman filtering, distributed particle filtering, and multi-sensor multi-scale filtering

  • Distributed random finite set approaches (e.g., distributed probability hypothesis density filtering)

  • Distributed multi-target detection, tracking, and classification

  • Wireless netted sensor registration, synchronization, control, and management

  • Average consensus algorithms and applications

  • Message passing, belief propagation, and factor graphs

  • Multi-agent cooperative filtering and control

  • Distributed Bayesian networks

  • Distributed formation and containment control

  • Network disturbance rejection and fault diagnosis


Submission Instructions

All submitted manuscripts must be written in English and must not be under consideration elsewhere for publication. Guidelines for authors are available at http://www.jzus.zju.edu.cn/manuscript.php. Either Word or LaTeX format is acceptable. When Word is used, the layout of the text should be in a single column, 1.5 lines spacing, 10.5 pt font size, and Times New Roman font. A LaTeX template is available at http://www.jzus.zju.edu.cn/download/FITEE_LaTex_template_2020.zip. Manuscripts should be submitted via http://www.editorialmanager.com/zusc/ under the article type "S.I. - FAC". This special issue will be published on a first-accepted, first-go-online basis.


Introduction to FITEE

FITEE is a peer-reviewed journal launched by the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and Zhejiang University, co-published by Springer & Zhejiang University Press, and indexed by SCI-E (IF=1.033). FITEE aims to publish the latest implementation of applications, principles, and algorithms in the broad area of Information Sciences. All articles will undergo rigorous peer review and crosscheck processes before they are accepted to ensure high quality.
