我同学的女儿今年放着Berkeley公立不去，非要去常春藤 (11839)

公立学费2万，而私立是4万啊。父母许诺如果上公立给她买奔驰轿车，也说不动她。可怜父母今后四年一半要为她劳作了。 

我女儿要是大了想上私立，我就让她自己贷款去。我们当年末流大学都上了，不也过来了。为什么那么迷信名流啊？ 

不大妙，女儿现在就有名流的概念。前两天，她跟我说：There are only three cities I would like to move to. First, San Fancisco, second Seattle and third, Boston. I asked why. She said, well, I love to see the real "Full House" there in San Francisco. Seattle has Bill Gates and Microsoft. That should be fun. As for Boston, it has MIT and Harvard, two most famous universities in the world! 

她还经常盘问我上过的大学的档次。然后告诉小朋友：My Dad entered a university of no class. But his master was in a first class school. Later on his PhD was only in a second-class. blah blah. 还问我，how come you became the boss of first class graduates. You are only a second-class PhD...我苦笑。
