用过去时还是现在时？虞博士讲了很多，很有道理。

《简洁的原理》（英文版）法则17 “In summaries, keep to one tense” 第85页开头就说得明明白白：

In summarizing the action of a drama, the writer should use the present tense. In summarizing a poem, story, or novel, he should also use the present, though he may use the past if it seems more natural to do so. If the summary is in the present tense, antecedent action should be expressed by the present perfect; if in the past, by the past perfect.

也就是，可以用现在时，也可以用过去时。你想用过去时当然也可以，但最好用现在时。

abstract是a summary of points。所以，这儿讲的对摘要写作也适用。

这儿举Nature官网提供的Summary写作例子。大家一看便知道时态是现在时。
