As a child, I saw my father walked in a funny way from time to time. He told me that he hurt his back. Somehow, I don't recall my mother ever had back problems. (I should call and ask.)

I remember my first encounter with back pain, in my 30s. It was winter, and Maryland's winter was cold. So, I worked on my research while sitting in my bed. Big mistake, and a lesson learned.

Back pain was not my problem, at least not my top three health issues, until last week. At first, I thought little about it, went about my routine, including yoga classes, and expected to get better in a few days. When it did not, I get irritated. So, I started to ask freinds, and to surf the web.
