RESEARCH INTERESTS:
My research focuses on the environmental geochemistry of persistent toxic substances (PTS), especially on persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and heavy metals, including environmental fate and behavior of POPs, environmental behavior and bioavailability of heavy metals, and remediation of POPs and heavy metals in soils and groundwater.
Recently, I change my research on the fate of chemicals in wastewater treatment, to investigate the fate of chemicals in Chinese waste-water treatment plants (WWTPs) and their subsequent environmental fate, effects of treatment processes and efficiency for a range of daily use chemicals and occurrence and removal of priority substances through the sewage treatment processes in China.

Experimental and Instrumental Analytical Skills
1) Proficient with operation of GC-MS/ECD/FID/NPD, HPLC, IC, ICP-OES, GF-AAS and AFS, and data process software;
2) Extensive experiences on extraction techniques for trace organic contaminants (Soxhlet extraction, Ultrasonic solvent extraction and liquid-phase microextraction) and pretreatment for inorganic pollutants on both theoretical aspects as well as its application in different environmental matrices;
3) Familiar with QA/QC procedures of inorganic contaminants and trace organic contaminants in various matrics, including conventional extraction and sample cleanup techniques.
Computer and Professional Skills
1) Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio. And proficient with Endnote;
2) Familiar with Professional modeling software, including Mudflow, Visual modflow, Qhreeqci and GMS;
