根据2018年发布的世界学术期刊学术影响力指数年报，JAS的影响因子为4.204，在自动化领域世界排名第9（前13%)。三年影响因子CiteScore分值为3.18，在“控制与系统工程”学科类别的224个学术出版物中排名第40，位于前18%，在“信息系统”和“人工智能”学科排名位于前19%，在其所属的所有领域的排名均已进入Q1区。

JAS是领域内被SCI预备库ESCI收录的第一本中国期刊，此外还被IEEE, EI，Inspec,  Scopus,  SCImago,  CSCD等国内外数据库收录。
