近闻北京大学物理学院成立了"大气海洋科学系”，这是我国高校成立的第一个“大气海洋科学系”，特在此表示祝贺！

“大气海洋科学系”的前身是大气科学系，而大气科学系的前身则是北大地球物理系。"大气海洋科学系"在国外特别在美国比较多。例如美国的UCLA, UC, UM,UM-Madison等高校都成立了“大气海洋科学系".这主要是因为“海洋科学的发展离不开大气科学的发展”，它们是相铺相成的。在我国高校以前设立的系离“大气海洋科学系"比较近的是中国海洋大学设立的“海洋气象系”。
