Russian physicists grow delicate nano-and microstructure of the metal. Physicists from the Institute of Solid State Physics presented a work in which they studied the process of growing nanosticks in membranes porous, with electrochemical method. A byproduct of this work are beautiful pictures of micro-and nanostructures (which, by the way, can be used in optics, medicine, electronics). Nanowires has a diameter of about one nanometer, that is one billionth of a meter. Today we are able to get a nanowire with a thickness of 60 to 30 nanometers. To get the nanowire, the traditional methods of manufacturing are useless, nanowire is grown by chemical reactions. With this wire, scientists hope to create a new generation of computers.
Experimenting with the nanowire, Galina Strukova together with his colleagues from the Institute of Solid State Physics in Chernogolovka was amazingly beautiful and unusual structure.
To grow these metal nanoflowers, nanoplants scientists use different metals: indium, palladium, lead, nickel.
Galina Strukova suggests that the metal forms a structure similar to biological objects, because the whole growth process is governed by similar rules.
