Today MIT (MassachusettsInstitute of Technology) announces the launching of MITx, a series of web onlycourses that anyone in the world with access to a computer can take free ofcharge. Successful completion of the course will enable the participant to geta MIT certificate (but not a diploma) http://web.mit.edu/newsoffice/2011/mitx-faq-1219.html.   This is a very good cause but in myopinion may lead to abuses. Now many people will be able to claim on theirresume that they have attended MIT without feeling guilty of lying andsuccessfully fool much of the unsuspecting public.  Let everyone be forewarned.
