分布式天线系统

移动通信的快速发展加速了宽带高速数据通信服务的需求。近年来,分布式天线系统(Distributed Antenna Systems,DAS)已经成为未来移动通信(B3G或4G)的重要候选技术,这在FRAMES和FuTURE等方案中已经得到证明。分布式天线系统继承并发展了微单元系统概念,而在微单元系统中,多个分布式天线或访问节点互相连接,并由一个中心节点来控制。分布式天线系统也拥有开放式无线结构(Open Wireless Architecture,OWA)的特点,这是未来无线通信系统的重要属性之一。由于其具有开放的结构,一些新颖、灵活的无线资源管理方式就可以应用到分布式天线系统中,从而拥有比传统的中心控制无线通信系统更好的性能。分布式天线技术的研究目前集中于蜂窝网系统中,特别是网络本身就有分布式结构的自组织网(Ad Hoc)和网格(Mesh)网络。然而,许多有关分布式天线系统物理层和高效协议层的技术仍然需要进一步研究。
《分布式天线系统——未来无线通信的开放式架构》是一本详细介绍分布式天线技术的指导书,包括基本概念、研究进展及待解决的问题。本书主要围绕分布式天线系统中的一些重要问题进行展开,如系统结构、容量、连通性、可测性、访问控制、时序安排、动态信道分配和跨层优化等。

Distributed antenna systems-Open Architecture for Future Wireless Communications,2007

The rapid growth in mobile communications has led to an increasing demand for wideband
high data rate communications services. In recent years, Distributed Antenna
Systems (DAS) has emerged as a promising candidate for future (beyond 3G or 4G)
mobile communications, as illustrated by projects such as FRAMES and FuTURE. The
architecture of DAS inherits and develops the concepts of pico- or micro-cell systems,
where multiple distributed antennas or access points (AP) are connected to and controlled
by a central unit. DAS owns the property of open wireless architecture (OWA),
which is one of the key features of future wireless communication systems. Due to its
open architecture, DAS can be assigned new and more flexible radio resource management,
and thus outperforms conventional centralized wireless communication systems.
These distributed antenna techniques are being studied intensively for cellular systems,
and are especially suitable for ad hoc and mesh networks due to their inherent
distributed characteristics. However, many topics involving the physical layer and
(especially) high-efficiency protocols for DAS still need further investigation.
Distributed Antenna Systems: Open Architecture for Future Wireless Communications
is the first book to provide readers with a comprehensive technical guide to
the fundamental concepts, recent advances, and open issues of DAS. The subject is
explored via various key challenges in numerous diverse scenarios including architecture,
capacity, connectivity, scalability, medium access control, scheduling, dynamic
channel assignment, and cross-layer optimization. The primary focus of this book is on
concept introduction, effective protocol proposal, system integration, performance analysis
techniques, simulation, experimentation, and, more importantly, future directions in
DAS research. The objective of the book is to serve as a valuable reference for scientists,
faculty members, researchers, students, engineers, and research strategists in this rapidly
evolving field.
