Call for Papers for Special Issue on: “Modelling andSimulation of Chaotic Processes”

Chaotic processes are dynamical systemsarising in the engineering modelling of various processes that are highlysensitive to initial conditions. Chaotic processes also include as a specialcase hyperchaotic processes, which are chaotic systems having at least twopositive Lyapunov exponents. Thus, hyperchaotic processes have very complexdynamical behaviour which can be used to improve the security of a chaoticcommunication system. Hence, the theoretical design and circuit realisation ofvarious hyperchaotic signals have become important research topics in recentyears.


This special issue aims at presenting thelatest developments, trends, research solutions and applications of chaotic andhyperchaotic processes with special emphasis on modelling and simulation of theprocesses in real-world applications which give rise to chaotic behaviour.Business, ecological and biological processes exhibiting chaotic behaviour willalso be studied in this special issue. Various applications of chaoticprocesses to fields such as secure communication, data encryption with specialemphasis on simulation and process modelling will also explored.


We invite researchers to contributeoriginal research articles and review articles that will stimulate continuingefforts to improve the current state of art in the aforementioned fields.

l  Time-delay chaotic systems and bifurcationanalysis

l  Fractional order system identification andoptimisation

l  Fractional order modelling of physical andbioengineering systems

l  Memristive modelling and applications

l  Memristive nonlinear circuits and systems

l  Modelling and simulation of:

n  o Bio-inspired chaotic systems

n  o Biological chaotic systems

n  o Boolean chaotic systems

n  o Business chaotic systems

n  o Chaotic attractors in nonlinear opticsand lasers

n  o Chemical chaotic reactors

n  o Mechanical chaotic systems

l   Securecommunication using chaos theory

l   Softwareand hardware encryption and steganography applications

l   Text-,image- and video-based chaotic encryption

Notes for Prospective Authors

Submitted papers should not have beenpreviously published nor be currently under consideration for publicationelsewhere. (N.B. Conference papers may only be submitted if the paper has beencompletely re-written and if appropriate written permissions have been obtainedfrom any copyright holders of the original paper).

All papers are refereed through a peerreview process.
