书非买不可读也，图书就应该这样利用

HKU Libraries Used Book Sale

We are pleased to announce that the University of Hong Kong
Libraries will hold its third Used Book Sale on 19 - 20 January 2008.
We will have 10,000 books for sale, which are either duplicates
donated by our supporters or unneeded copies of books from the
library collection. Books are of different subjects, both in Chinese and
English, and will be sold at HK$20.
We believe that selling these books at very reasonable prices not only
promotes reading but also insures that these books do not lie unused
and forgotten. The proceeds from the book sale will be used to
purchase new books and to enhance the services of the Libraries.
Date:
Saturday, 19 January 2008 (9:00 am – 7:00 pm)
Sunday, 20 January 2008 (10:00 am – 7:00 pm)
Venue:
2/F Main Library, HKU, Pokfulam Road, HK
Note:
- To support going green, please bring your own bag. You may buy a
specially designed recyclable bag at HK$10 each.
- Owing to manpower constraints, we cannot handle book search
requests.
- Used books are available on a first come, first served basis. There
will be no reservation of used books.
- The used books are not displayed in any specific order.
- Please do not bring any books into the sales venue.
- Please tender exact fare.
- For individual buyers, no purchase limit.
- No exchange or refund.
- These books are primarily for personal use. Bookstore
representatives are asked to not come until after 2 pm on Sunday
afternoon in order to give as many individuals as possible a chance to
buy the books they want the most.

香港大學圖書館將於2008年1月19日至20日，舉行第三次舊書售賣活動，歡迎各界
人士參加。這次活動共有書籍10,000冊可供選擇，這些書籍大多是各界人士歷年贈
送給圖書館的複本，和圖書館已註銷的書籍。其中包括有中文和英文書籍，種類繁
多，每本售價港幣二十元。出售複本和已註銷書籍，不單令廣大市民可以用低廉價
錢選購所需書籍，推廣閱讀風氣之餘，也使圖書館庫存書籍得到充分利用。是次活
動的收益，將會用作發展大學圖書館的館藏和服務。
時間：
2008年1月19日 (星期六) 上午9時 – 晚上7時
2008年1月20日 (星期日) 上午10時 – 晚上7時
地點：
香港薄扶林道香港大學圖書館總館二樓
註：
- 為支持環保，請自備購物袋。也可即場購買為這次活動而設計的一款環保購物
袋，每個定價港幣十元。
- 人手所限,不設查找書籍服務 。
- 所有書籍先來先買,不設留書服務。
- 所有書籍也不會按次序擺放。
- 請不要自攜書籍進場。
- 請自備零錢，場內不設找贖。
- 讀者購書，不設數量上限。
- 書店代表請於1月20日(星期日)下午二時後蒞臨, 以便讓更多讀者可以選購所需書
籍。
- 不設書籍退換服務。
