王晓钢教授（科学网博主--等离子体科学）刚刚当选2011年美国物理学会会士(APS Fellow)，已肯定他在磁重联和复杂等离子体方面的贡献。这是继蔡诗东院士我国第二个等离子体物理学家在大陆获得的APS Fellow。证书上的嘉奖词（citation）是：
“For seminal contributions to the theory of magnetic reconnection with broad applications to fusion and space plasmas, and to studies of waves and instabilities in complex plasmas.”

 

当选APS Fellow 还是很不容易的。
以前看过APS DPP的Fellow名单，发现只有L.CHEN, G.FU等几位华人在，大陆本土竟然一个都没有，太悲催了。9.16号刚刚在杭州CPS秋季会议上见过王老师。再次祝贺王老师，望大陆有更多人成为APS Fellow。
