NPG集团在2011年夏天创办其旗下的第一份OA（开放浏览、开放获取）杂志，并于2011年6月14日上线。它包含了生物学、物理学、地球和环境科学。录用后交版面费，其发表方式是在线，不定期。到2012年4月13日，已经发表360篇论文，其中，材料科学27篇。
