8月23日下午3;30Norwegian Breakaway游轮离开纽约港和我们在下午4:00离开Cape Liberty新泽西的Celebrity游轮一同前往百慕大岛,八日七夜相伴,航行途中相距一二海里左右,目测可见。两条游轮结伴而行,总共人数近万,其中游客船员近半,犹如两艘航空母舰规模的海上超级综合游乐中心。26日上午先于我们的游轮半小时抵达百慕大,28日下午先于我们的游轮半小时离开百慕大,30日早晨6:30先于我们的游轮半小时抵达纽约港。
该游轮投入使用时间仅5年,据称是全球第八大游轮,其费用高于我们缴纳费用25%左右。

Norwegian Breakaway is a cruiseship operated by Norwegian Cruise Line. Construction of NorwegianBreakaway began on 21 September 2011, when the first piece of steel was cutat the MeyerWerft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.[2] She was delivered to NCL on 25 April 2013. Following the handover,Norwegian Breakaway left the port of Bremerhaven,heading for Rotterdam.Following several inaugural events, she started her transatlantic cruise from Southamptonto NewYork City, where the naming ceremony took place.[3] On 12 May 2013 she headed to Bermuda tostart her seven-day cruises.[4]
She is 144,017 GT in size, and has capacity for 4,000 passengers,double occupancy.[2] The ship has a total of 1,024 staterooms and 238 suites, designed by Priestmangoode and Tillberg Design.[5]
Norwegian Breakaway is home portedat the New York Passenger Ship Terminalin Manhattan,making seven-night cruises to Bermuda (May thru Sept) and seven-night cruisesto the Bahamas & Florida (October thru April).[6] She is the largest cruise ship homeported year-round from New York City.[7]
The ship, along with her sister NorwegianGetaway, was named through a public contest; Kimberly Powell submittedthe name Norwegian Breakaway, which was announced on 14 September 2011.[8]
Onboard features include a restaurant, Ocean Blue, by GeoffreyZakarian, and a comedy club, named Headliners, where a SecondCity company performs. The godmothers of the ship are TheRockettes. Peter Max designed the hull art.
Norwegian Breakaway is the world's ninth largest cruiseship.
Incidents and accidents[edit]
On 17 September 2013, a woman fell two decks from her exterior balconyprior to arriving in Bermuda.[9] On 3 February 2014, a 4 year old fell into the pool and drowned, while a 6year old was revived and evacuated by Marine helicopter to a hospital.[10] On 28 July 2014, a 4 year old boy fell off his bunk and had to beevacuated by a Marine helicopter to a hospital after sustaining a head injury.[11]
