*Bootstrap definition, a loop of leather or cloth sewn at the top rear, or sometimes on each side, of a boot to facilitate pulling it on
*Tall boots may have a tab, loop or handle at the top known as a bootstrap, allowing one to use fingers or a boot hook tool to help pulling the boots on.
*A bootstrap is a small strap or loop at the back of a leather boot that enables you to pull the entire boot on.
*to promote or develop by initiative and effort with little or no assistance
*In general parlance, bootstrapping usually refers to the starting of a self-starting process that is supposed to proceed without external input
*Bootstrap is a free and open-source collection of tools for creating websites and web applications
