世界卫生组织(WHO)在《英国运动医学杂志》(British Journal of Sports Medicine)的一期专刊上发表的《世界卫生组织2020年体力活动和久坐行为指南》(World Health Organization 2020 guidelines on physical activity and sedentary behaviour)中说,久坐对健康的危害可以通过超过每周推荐的体育活动水平来抵消。
大量且不断增长的证据表明,久坐不动与严重的不良健康状况及早逝风险的增加有关。而增加体力活动可以降低与长时间久坐相关的早期死亡风险。
