伯纳德·罗素的这句话大意是科学界中的成功者都是站在巨人的肩膀上的,一个超级天才发明一种方法,一千个能力较次者应用它。在艺术界,没有天赋是不行的,但科学界即使能力中庸者也能取得杰出的科学成就。
看看周边,科学界充斥着很多能力或智力平平者,但人家照样混得风生水起,关键是幸运和努力。有幸跟对了导师,进入一个“朝阳”领域,再加上个人的努力,就不愁不能成功了。
当然,我的话不一定对。
看看费曼,他说他成功也不是因为他聪明。成功的关键是有正确的科研态度,对自然界实在的关注,提出正确的问题,愿意尝试(和抛弃)非常轨的答案,对假大空有鉴别--- ---
