【催化牛人简介】包信和——动态催化与表面化学


包信和
     包信和,男, 汉族,1959生于江苏省。理学博士,研究员,博士生导师。现任大连化学物理研究所所长。

    包信和同志长期从事表面化学、金属催化材料以及多孔材料等相关的催化基础研究和应用开发工作。工作重点集中在金属催化剂的表面化学、纳米催化理 论,多孔材料的合成、表征,在催化中的应用研究和采用原位、动态方法观察在反应过程中,金属催化剂表面在时间和空间坐标下发生的结构自组合效应以及由此导 致的非线性表面反应动力学特征等。在甲烷活化、合成气催化转化以及小分子选择氧化等方面进行了大量研究工作。先后发表相关的研究论文160余篇,其中 Sci收录110篇,申报国家专利15件。

    包信和同志主要的学术和社会兼职有:“国家重点基础研究规划”(973项目)天然气、煤层气优化利用的催化基础项目首席科学家、中科院-德国马普 协会“纳米催化”伙伴研究组中方组长、中科院-BP“面向未来的清洁能源”项目首席执行官; “Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry”杂志主编,《催化学报》副主编,“Surface Science (Elsevier)” 、“Catech (Kluwer Academic)”和“Chinese Journal of Chemistry” 等杂志编委;中国化学会常务理事,第九届、第十届全国人大代表。 包信和同志曾先后获得国家教委自然科学奖、德国洪堡研究基金、全国留学回国先进个人、1995年度国家杰出青年基金以及1996-2000年度香港求是 “杰出青年学者奖”。

Current Research Interests

We intend to explore the the structure and properties of nanoparticles of metals, metal oxides, carbides and etc under interaction with such nano-structured carbon materials as supports or additives. In particular, carbon nanotubes have been proved to exhibit unique properties apart from conventional carbon materials such as activated carbon. Furthermore, single walled, double walled and multi-walled nanotubes and those with the graphene layers arranged in different angles in respect to the axis of the tubes exibit different properties.

  • Well defined morphology with nanochannels which might lead to interesting confinement effect;
  • Well graphitized layers with superior thermal stability and electron conductivity;
  • Unique H2 adsorption and storage capability.



The combination of these properties of nanoparticles may bring interesting catalytic performance. Currently, we are looking at the following catalytic reactions:

  • methane activation and conversion
  • syngas conversion
  • selective oxidation of hydrocarbons.

Therefore, our work evolves around the:

  • Synthesis of nanostructured catalysts, in particular controlled incorporation and dispersion of metal nanoparticles into the pores and/or channels of porous carbon materials;
  • Characterization of the physochemical properties;
  • Catalytic reactions.

  1987年获复旦大学理学博士学位;1989-1995年 获洪堡基金资助在德国马普协会柏林FRITZ-HABER研究所进行合作研究;1995年至今,在中科院大连化学物理研究所工作;2000年至今,任大连化学物理研究所所长。主要从 事表面化学、金属催化材料和多孔催化材料以及相关的催化基础和应用开发工作。近年来采用多种原位、动态表征手段以及密度泛函等理论计算方法,深入系统地研 究了银、铑等贵金属纳米粒子的控制制备、结构和性质表征以及在氧化氮催化氧化、合成气催化选择转化和甲烷选择氧化等反应中的应用;与Fritz—Haber研究所G. Ertl 教授和R. Schlogl 教授合作在多孔碳材料的合成、表征和催化特性等方面进行了认真探索与他人合作在甲烷无氧芳构化原位核磁共振表征技术以及



在多孔材料的结构表征和表面催化反应机理等方面取得了较好的研究成果。

  包信和研究员发表论文180余篇,申报国际国内专利15件。1995年获国家杰出青年基金资助,1996年度香港求是“杰出青年学者奖”获得者。现任国家重点基础研究规划(973)“天然气、煤层气优化利用的催化基础项目”首席科学家、中科院-德国马普协会“纳米催化”伙伴研究组中方组长、中科院BP“面向未来的清洁能源”项目首席执行官; Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry”杂志主编,《催化学报》副主编,“Surface Science”,“Cattech”和“Chinese Journal of Chemistry 等杂志编委;第二十六届中国化学会常务理事。
