张益唐的微积分课很受学生欢迎

原以为像张益唐这样潜心做研究，讲英语带口音，又不善交际的，讲课应该很一般。但看到ratemyprofessors.com（美国最流行的教师评价网）张益唐的网页，居然好评如流，平均分4.1，（最高是5）。有56个学生评价。除了一个之外，其它评价都是在张益唐出名之前写的。也有几个学生提到他的口音，但并不妨碍他们认为他是个好教师。

有好几个学生认为他很funny，也就是很幽默，很搞笑。在美国的华人，被认为很聪明，很努力，很正经，很会赚钱的很多，但被认为很幽默的很少很少。我是很有兴趣找找张益唐英文讲课的视频，看看他是怎么幽默的。

He is an excellent teacher. Once you get used to his accent you will do just fine. Easy class as long as you take good notes, do the homework and most importantly attend TA classes throughout the week. Exams are easy as long as you complete worksheet.

Tom is awesome!! he's so funny if you actually show up to lecture and is very clear with his teaching. However you can get an easy B even if you dont show up, just go to the recitations...so easy! loved him!

I was stuck in pre-calc by accident, but this guy is pretty funny. He can't pronounce things well (ex, p-theorem for pythagorean). He's not nice outside of class, but do the review quizzes and you should be fine. Easy course.

Very funny, nice and a great teacher!

Tom is a riot. He is just an all around funny guy, even when he doesn't try he is funny. Its something about his accent and just the way that he is that makes him funny, but you also know that he is a genius and has probably been solving complex calculus equations since he could strap up his diaper. Know the review sheets for the tests thats it.

Tom is a pretty approachable professor. He teaches all of the concepts clearly and is pretty flexible if you need to reschedule an exam or meet with him. His accent is iffy sometimes and you do have to crane your neck around him to read the board sometimes because he stands in the way...but other than that he was awesome.

Tom is a great teacher and super helpful. He's sometimes hard to understand because of his accent, and sometimes he spells things wrong. But, overall he's REALLY easy. He's a funny guy too. Homework is collected every Thursday followed by a quiz. I highly recommend Tom if you have to take 418, or if he teaches any other math classes.
