Prof. Zhenzhou Cheng (程振洲) is currently an assistant professor of physical chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Tokyo (東京大學). He received his B.S. degree in Physics and M.S. degree in Optics from Nankai University (南開大學) in 2006 and 2009. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (香港中文大學) in 2013. After two-year postdoctoral research, he joined Goda Lab (合田实验室) in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Tokyo as an assistant professor in 2015. His research interests focus on novel photonic integrated circuits and nanophotonic devices based on Group IV materials for applications in sensing, spectroscopy, nonlinear optics, and optical communication.
