This major networking event for the European and Chinese research community will take place at the Regent Hotel (JinBao Street, DongCheng District) in Beijing on Thursday, 15 November, 2012.

This one day conference + dinner will focus on EURAXESS as a global network for researchers linking Europe to the world. The participants will be invited to exchange in a friendly atmosphere with speakers from both Europe and China (as well as online speakers from Japan, India, Singapore and the USA) on how to use science as an engine for growth and how to create an attractive environment for international researchers.

A new job searching tool will be officially launched at the end of the conference.

Organised by DG Research and Innovation of the European Commission, EURAXESS Links China and EU Delegation S&T team, the conference will be a great occasion for the European and Chinese research communities to get together and interact with policy leaders from Europe and China, as well as with eminent representatives of the business research and development sector and representatives of the research communities in the other regions of the world where EURAXESS is also present (USA, Japan, India, ASEAN). With EURAXESS Links China based in Beijing, EURAXESS Links USA, Japan, Singapore and India will be connected online to the event with researchers' testimonials.

Following the opening ceremony, the conference will continue with two sessions in the morning and three parallel workshops in the afternoon, with a closing session celebrating the opening of the job dimension in the EURAXESS Links websites.

Mr. Markus Ederer, Ambassador of the EU Delegation to China, will give a welcome speech at the opening of the conference, and Mr. Robert-Jan Smits, Director General for Research and Innovation at the European Commission, will address the closing session with a key-note speech.
