《山地科学学报》在作者指南(http://jms.imde.ac.cn/for-authors)中对作者的学术诚信作了以下要求:

1.     Authorship (关于作者署名问题)

Authorshipof articles is hugely important in academic careers as it is used to measureresearch productivity and as the basis for decisions on appointments, promotions, tenure and funding.

Theauthorship of academic papers should reflect who did the work. Papers submittedto the JMS should follow these rules:

1. Aperson who has not made a sufficient contribution to the work should not beincluded in the authors.

2. Aperson who has contributed substantially should be included in the authors.

3. Ifthere are two or more authors, the corresponding author should be assigned. Thefirst author will be taken as the corresponding author when no correspondingauthor is assigned.

4. Allauthors must sign to consent the submission. A cover letter with signature by all authors is required when the manuscript issubmitted.

5.Theauthor list and the author sequence should be fixed beforesubmission. Requests to add or delete authors at revision stage or aftersubmission can only be considered after receipt of written approval fromall original authors and a detailed explanation from the corresponding author about the role/deletion of thenew/deleted author (s).

Oncean authorship dispute arises before publication, the process should be halteduntil the dispute is resolved.  Changes of authorship or in the orderof authors are not accepted after acceptance of amanuscript.

2. ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF AUTHORS关于作者的道德责任)

This journal is committed to upholding the integrity of the scientific record. As a member ofthe Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) the journal will follow the COPE guidelines on how to deal with potential acts of misconduct.

Authors should refrain from misrepresenting research results which could damage thetrust in the journal and ultimately the entire scientific endeavour. Maintaining integrity of the research and its presentation can be achieved byfollowing the rules of good scientific practice, which includes:

· The manuscript has not been submitted to more than onejournal for simultaneous consideration.

·  The manuscript has not been published previously (partlyor in full), unless the new work concerns an expansion of previous work (pleaseprovide transparency on the re-use of material to avoid the hint oftext-recycling ("self-plagiarism")).

· A single study is not split up into several parts toincrease the quantity of submissions and submitted to various journals or toone journal over time (e.g.  "salami-publishing").

· No data have been fabricated or manipulated (includingimages) to support your conclusions

· No data, text, or theories by others are presented as ifthey were the authors own ("plagiarism"). Proper acknowledgements toother works must be given (this includes material that is closely copied (nearverbatim), summarized and/or paraphrased), quotation marks are used forverbatim copying of material, and permissions are secured for material that iscopyrighted.

· Consent to submit has been received from all co-authorsand responsible authorities at the institute/organization where the work hasbeen carried out before the work is submitted.

·        Authors whose names appear on the submission havecontributed sufficiently to the scientific work and therefore share collectiveresponsibility and accountability for the results.

In addition:

· Changes of authorship or in the order of authors are notaccepted after acceptance of a manuscript.

· Requests to add or delete authors at revision stage orafter submission is a serious matter, and can only beconsidered after receipt of written approval from all authors and adetailed explanation about the role/deletion of the new/deleted author (s). Thedecision on accepting the change rests with the Editor-in-Chief of the journal.

·  Upon request authors should be prepared to send relevantdocumentation or data in order to verify the validity of the results. Thiscould be in the form of raw data, samples, records, etc.

· Once an authorship dispute arises before publication, theprocess should be halted until the dispute is resolved.

If there isa suspicion of misconduct, the journal will carry out an investigationfollowing the COPE guidelines.  If, after investigation, the allegationseems to raise valid concerns, the accused author will be contacted and givenan opportunity to address the issue. If misconduct has been proven, this mayresult in the Editor-in-Chief's implementation of the following measures, including, but not limited to:

·  If the article is still under consideration, it may berejected and returned to the author.

·  If the article has already been published online, depending on the nature and severity of the infraction, either an erratum willbe placed with the article or in severe cases complete retraction of thearticle will occur. The reason must be given in the published erratum orretraction note.

·        The author's institution may be informed.

3.  DISCLOSUREOF POTENTIAL CONFLICT OF INTERESTS 利益冲突问题申明

Authors mustdisclose all relationships or interests that could influence or bias the work.Although an author may not feel there are conflicts, disclosure ofrelationships and interests affords a more transparent process, leading to anaccurate and objective assessment of the work. Awareness of real or perceivedconflicts of interests is a perspective to which the readers are entitled andis not meant to imply that a financial relationship with an organization thatsponsored the research or compensation for consultancy work is inappropriate.Examples of potential conflicts of interests that are directly orindirectly related to the research may include but are not limited tothe following:

·        Research grants from funding agencies (please give theresearch funder and the grant number)

·        Honoraria for speaking at symposia

·        Financial support for attending symposia

·        Financial support for educational programs

·        Employment or consultation

·        Support from a project sponsor

·        Position on advisory board or board of directors or othertype of management relationships

·        Multiple affiliations

·        Financial relationships, for example equity ownership orinvestment interest

·        Intellectual property rights (e.g. patents, copyrightsand royalties from such rights)

·        Holdings of spouse and/or children that may havefinancial interest in the work

In addition, interests that go beyond financial interests and compensation (non-financialinterests) that may be important to readers should be disclosed. These mayinclude but are not limited to personal relationships or competing interests directlyor indirectly tied to this research, or professional interests or personalbeliefs that may influence your research.

The correspondingauthor collects the conflict of interest disclosure forms from all authors. Inauthor collaborations where formal agreements for representation allow it, itis sufficient for the corresponding author to sign the disclosure form onbehalf of all authors.

The correspondingauthor will include a summary statement in the text of the manuscript in aseparate section before the reference list, that reflects what is recorded inthe potential conflict of interest disclosure form(s).

See below examplesof disclosures:

Funding: This study wasfunded by X (grant number X).

Conflict ofInterest: Author A has received research grants from Company A.Author B has received a speaker honorarium from Company X and owns stock inCompany Y. Author C is a member of committee Z.

If no conflictexists, the authors should state:

Conflict of Interest: The authors declare that they have no conflict ofinterest.

4.  MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION AND PROCESSING 确保所有作者知悉投稿情况和投稿有关的重要事项的措施

During the submission process, all authors listed in the manuscript should have their informationfilled in the online submission system and their affiliations and email addresses provided. Thus, the author responsible for the submission should check the consistency of the listed authors in the manuscriptand the filled-in names of the authors. If the administrator detects the required information is incomplete, the manuscript will be unsubmitted.
