Vienna is one of the four headquarters of the United Nations, along with New York, Geneva and Nairobi. Every year European Geoscience Union (EGU) conference is held in the Austria Conference Center, side by side the UN headquarters. The 2015 EGU was held on April 12 to 17.

One night as I looked outside of the windows of the train, I saw a wonderful lake scene with white and orange yachts and boats in the clear and blue lake. The soft light was reflected on the lake surface. Everything seems to be so quiet and peaceful. So the next morning, I got up very early and decided to walk to see the lake from the hotel.

In fact, it's not far. It is only about 15 minutes walk away from the United Nations headquarters, and only 10 minutes away from the Park Inn hotel I checked  in.

The early morning warm sunshines shines on the lake. The light green willow branches are falling down the lake. People were running or riding bicyles along the lake, or sailing boats or yachts on the lake. The villas on the lakeside added a quite special taste to the lake. The high buildings and their refelections on the lake are in a misty images. What a beauitful scene!
