Thailand is a practical country, a neutral country. In my impression, the officials, researchers, and technicians do very practical work, unlike the counterparts in China. We visit the soil museum established by the Land Development Department (LDD), the royal agricultural projects, and some other sites. The researchers do down-to-earth research, the government departments, the technology extension departments do many concrete, useful, and valuable work. It seems they don't focus on those empty titles or superficial work. In Chinese words, 他们不折腾! Although they don't have wide expressway as China, they don't have a lot of modern highrises, they don't have high GDP, people there live a peaceful life.
