不少审稿人会花费较多的时间和精力对一篇文章进行认真审阅,有的审稿意见甚至好几页。

本刊在给作者发稿件修改信时，会将审稿人的评价和建议一并发给作者，同时，要求作者单独准备一个文档，逐条回复审稿人的意见，并在稿件中标出修改过的地方。建议作者大改的文章一般会再邀请上一轮审稿的审稿人重审，因此，作者认真对待审稿人的意见，采纳审稿人提出的好的建议并且对文章进行修改，这是对审稿人的一种尊重，也是对自己的论文负责。如果作者认为审稿人提的意见不中肯，甚至是错误的，得有理有据地提出来。如果不采纳审稿人的建议，不愿意根据审稿人的意见对文章进行修改，又不说明原因，以为敷衍一下就过去了，结果往往导致审稿人直接推荐拒稿。以下是我们今日收到的一位审稿人给编辑部的信件：

Dear Sir/Madam
I was invited to review a revised manuscript (Manuscript ID 18-XXXX) as I previously reviewed the original submission and the first revision. However, I again notice that the authors do not provide any reply to the reviewers comments and it is therefore impossible to assess if they have taken them into account. This was also the case for the first revision. Unfortunately I must therefor again suggest a rejection until they provide proof on how they addressed the comments raised by all reviewers. This should be done in a detailed rebuttal letter with reference to the pages and lines in the revised manuscript, + a copy of the revised paper in track change mode so that the changes can be checked.
