In college, I dreamed about being asked to write down an equation for each cloud I saw in the sky (since I majored in Marine Meteorology), and I woke up with a big “?” in my head. What I day-dreamed most was to be a cleaning lady while I was in college, in graduate schools, and at every job I ever held. Why? Because I can see a clean street left behind after her work. What have I done, sitting in front of a computer (and now two, a Sun and a laptop) day after day, month after month, and year after year.

One day soon, I will be doing nothing but cleaning. I will leave behind a stack of manuscripts with tracked changes and free comments. I think I was born to do (English) editing!
