Following the successful Hybrid Materials conference held in Tours, France, in March 2009 - which was attended by 922 delegates from 54 countries - this second event in the series will once again provide an interdisciplinary forum for discussion of the latest developments within the following three symposia:

• Biohybrids and biomaterials
• Functional hybrid nanomaterials, nanocomposites and their applications
• Functional porous materials
