   Multiple postdoctoral research positions are open in Professor Jianfang Wang's group
(http://www.phy.cuhk.edu.hk/~jfwang/) in the Department of Physics of The Chinese
University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in the area of plasmonics. The project for this position
will be jointly supervised by Professor Jianfang Wang and Professor Hai-Qing Lin
(http://www.csrc.ac.cn/~hqlin/) from Beijing Computational Science Research Center. The
candidate should have expertise in at least one of the following areas: 1. Experimental
investigations of the plasmonic properties of metal nanocrystals, metal/semiconductor hybrid
nanostructures, or novel plasmonic materials; 2. Experimental studies of plasmon coupling,
plasmon-induced hot carries, or active plasmonics; 3. Theoretical analyses or numerical
simulations on modeling plasmonic nanostructures, understanding novel plasmonic
phenomena, or unraveling the fundamental aspects of hot carries in plasmonic systems.
Successful candidates working on theories or simulations are expected to work together with
experimentalists to realize thoughts and ideas. The applicant must hold a PhD or equivalent
in Physics, Materials Science and Engineering, or a related discipline. The candidate must be
self-motivated, highly energetic, and able to work independently and as a part of a team. The
annual salary for this position is >RMB200,000 per year, depending on the qualifications and
experiences.
