Professor emeritus Erich Vogt is considered one of Canada’s leading physicists of his generation Since 1965, he has taught at the University of British Columbia, where he played a key role in developing the Tri-University Meson Facility (TRIUMF), a sub-atomic physics lab on campus. Vogt, a theoretical physicist, chaired and directed TRIUMF until he retired in 1994.
